Gibson GA20 Amplifer - 1951 NFS

Not a guitar, obviously, but I thought it may be interesting to know what amplifier I play all these old electrics through. It's not really loud. Above about one third volume it starts to break up. An awsome sound!. Above about half it starts to break up too much. I can't really play humbuckers through it, or only on very low volumes. The P90's sound amazing and that was what it was built for. Tone and then some. It's a very rich sound that can, for some people, be like having too much of a good thing. However, you need to know how to play the amplifier and the guitar combination. Your playing style needs to adapt to fit them, not the other way around!

Verdict: beautiful at low volumes with a P90 archtop.
